LEP I Physics
The total cross section and forward-backward asymmetry
in the e+ e- -> mu+ mu- (n gamma) process are measured
in the energy range 60-136 GeV
by reconstructing the effective centre-of-mass energy
using the 1990 to 1995 data.

The forward-backward asymmetry in the muon pair creation at LEP
is studied by a new method which uses two hemispheres separately.
1993 muon analysis is summarized as an
ALEPH note (
Fig.1,
Fig.2,
Fig.3,
Fig.4
).

A measurement of the
tau lepton's lifetime
is being done by using a new technique,
3DIP,
which uses the full 3D tracking information of the ALEPH detector.

A measurement of transverse spin correlation
in the tau tau decays at e+ e- collision is studied.

Hardware Development
A R&D on BCAL++
construction is being done.
BCAL++ is an upgrade version of the current very forward online
luminosity monitor, which is known as the BCAL.
